AI Creator Discovery: Goodwipes Modash Nectar Breakdown

The influencer list used to look like a spreadsheet with follower counts and vibes. Now it looks more like a corkboard: AI search on one side, social listening on another, and a marketer squinting at niche comments like they are decoding a group chat artifact.

Business Insider reports that Goodwipes adopted Modash for influencer discovery and uses Nectar for social listening. Translation: creator sourcing is moving from manual list building to tool assisted microcommunity mapping, where the goal is not just finding who posts about a category, but understanding which small audience worlds already care.

What changed: discovery is becoming a living workflow

Pendulum frames the pressure point clearly: traditional influencer vetting, monitoring, and discovery tools can evaluate content only through text, hashtags, and descriptions. That is the old search box problem. It catches obvious signals, but it misses the weird little rituals that make a creator matter inside a community, like recurring jokes, product routines, audience questions, and the comment lore that never makes it into a media kit.

That is why the Goodwipes, Modash, and Nectar setup is more interesting than a normal martech swap. Modash handles the structured hunt for creators, while social listening adds context around what people are actually saying. Pendulum argues that organizations should use AI powered influencer intelligence across discovery, vetting, and monitoring, which is corporate for: the shortlist does not end when the campaign starts.

For creators, the practical read is simple. Being discoverable is no longer only about profile polish or a big recent post. Brands are increasingly looking for patterns around who responds, what questions keep appearing, and whether a niche behaves like a real community or just a pile of passive impressions.

Why brands are suddenly obsessed with tiny audience worlds

The AI Innovator puts the economic backdrop in neon: global social commerce sales were estimated at roughly $1.2 trillion in 2024, and influencer marketing had grown into a roughly $24 billion industry in 2024. When shopping, recommendation, and entertainment sit this close together, a generic creator list becomes expensive clutter. Brands want fewer mismatches and more evidence that a creator can translate attention into action.

TikTok made a similar platform side argument at Cannes Lions 2026, saying it has over a billion users and that discovery, consideration, and conversion increasingly happen in the same environment. Set aside the Cannes gloss for a second and the platform translation is: the funnel got squished into the feed. If a viewer can discover a product, watch a creator explain it, and decide whether it belongs in their life without leaving the app, niche trust becomes a distribution channel.

This is where microcommunities become the prize. A creator with a smaller but more specific audience may be easier for a brand to understand than a broad lifestyle account whose audience is basically everyone and therefore no one. The smart money is not just asking who has reach. It is asking which conversations keep repeating, who people tag for advice, and where a product would feel native instead of parachuted in.

What platforms are doing with the same signal

Tubefilter reported that Meta used its 2025 NewFronts pitch to discuss Reels trending ads and an upcoming ad test on Threads. According to Meta, Reels are shared more than 4.5 billion times per day, and the Reels trending ads format places brand spots immediately after popular creator made Reels across its platforms. Brands can be paired with a broad slice of top performing content or with bundled lineups in categories like beauty and sports.

That matters because platforms are building their own version of the same matching layer. Tubefilter also reported that Instagram partners will get access to a Trends tab in Creator Marketplace, and that the feature is in testing and uses AI to identify topics trending on Instagram. If brand teams are using tools like Modash and Nectar off platform, Meta is trying to make sure some of that discovery and buying behavior happens inside its own walls.

Here is the part creators should clock. Platform discovery tools can help surface opportunities, but they also make creators more comparable, searchable, and sortable. Useful, yes. A little Black Mirror with a media plan, also yes. The creator advantage is to make the community context legible before a platform or brand tool flattens it into a category label.

The creator takeaway: make the niche easy to read

Pendulum’s point about discovery, vetting, and monitoring should change how creators present partnership readiness. A brand team using AI search and social listening is not only checking whether you mention the right keywords. It is also trying to understand risk, fit, and audience behavior over time.

So the best move is not to perform for the machine. It is to make the human readable signals stronger. Pin work that explains your recurring formats, keep product categories clear, document audience questions, and make it obvious which community problems you actually understand. If a brand is doing comments section archaeology, give them clean artifacts.

The platform tally, for anyone keeping score at home: platforms keep promising better creator and brand matching, while brands keep buying outside tools because native discovery is still uneven. Goodwipes using Modash and Nectar is the useful middle ground to watch. The next wave of creator partnerships will not be found only by follower filters or vibes, but by maps of the small communities where purchase decisions are already being rehearsed in public.
